When the trout and salmon run heavy,
nothing is more effective than a deep water trolling rig . . .
and none more effective than the Snap-Loc rig. Tie your line
directly to the lure and attach a removable "stopper"
split shot about four feet in front of the lure. Now simply snap
on the desired weight of a Snap-Loc between the shot and your rod
and you're ready to fish. If the fish go deeper as you troll
simply add another Snap-Loc and let the boat movement slide it
down the stopper shot so you don't waste fishing time reeling
your lure in, changing the sinker and dropping back to the
productive depth.
