Egg Sinker Rig

Long before the modern live bait rigs became popular, astute anglers were using Water Gremlin Egg Sinkers to make their own live bait rigs, and these are still preferred by top anglers today. The secret is the design. The oblong shaped Egg Sinker slips easily through weeds and rocks without getting constantly hung up. The large, smooth hole in the center allows for uninterrupted movement of the line, without the fish being able to detect the weight of the sinker. A tiny, round split shot should be pinched on the line a couple of feet in front of the wire hook. This rig can be used for all types of live bait under most any condition.

Slipping easily through weeds because of its streamlined shape, the Water Gremlin Egg Sinker has an added advantage: the line slips through its middle so the fish doesn’t feel the sinker’s weight when it hits.
