Trout and Salmon Fishing Rig

October 15, 2013 | Categories: Fishing Tips

When stream fishing for trout and salmon, you want to cast across the stream and let your bait drift down with the current barely “ticking” the bottom. In this way, it will go down to where the fish are and still not get snagged. Start by pulling one or two round split shot on the trailing line. Your bait will drift down and when you feel the bottom, you’ll know that you’re at the right depth. If not, add one shot at a time until you “tick” bottom.
