Grant Photo Contest

My Dad and I have always dreamed of catching a king salmon and last summer we got the chance to do it. We were on the Kenai River with our friend Casey when this 52-pound beast slammed my Dad’s line. He set the hook and the battle was on. After about fifteen minutes, we got it in the boat and realized how massive it was. I snapped this photo of my Dad with his trophy catch and it’s now one of my prized possessions. Thanks, Water Gremlin!
